By using techniques like layering and blending, as well as troubleshooting tips, you’ll be able to create your own individual still-life drawing of fabric.

Come discover the beauty of coloured pencils on wood panels. In this unique workshop, artist/instructor Kaitlin explores the combination of coloured pencils on wood panels to draw patterned fabric. Learn to use techniques such as layering and blending to make your drawings into masterful works of art. Kaitlin guides you through the complete process of drawing fabric, layering multiple colours, blending, troubleshooting, and finishing of your artwork. Create your own individual still-life drawing of fabric by pushing the limits of the materials and thinking outside the box.

This workshop will explore a combination of coloured pencils on wood panels to draw patterned fabric.
In this workshop, instructor Kaitlin Mason will teach you techniques like layering and blending, as well as troubleshooting tips, to create your own individual still life drawing of fabric.
There will be a 30 minute lunch break. You may bring a packed lunch to enjoy at the picnic tables overlooking the Niagara River on the Pumphouse grounds.
Registration includes a $26 materials fee (includes wood panel, sandpaper, and coloured pencils).
