The Fabric Specimens Collection

Exclusive Preview:

This collection of coloured pencil drawings on deckled paper examines the tiny details found on a small sample of fabric. Similar to the study of small specimens in the world of science, partial samples are placed between two planes of glass and viewed under a microscope to further study its most intricate properties. These drawings are specifically arranged and gazed upon from above to gain a new perspective and appreciation for their recognizable patterns and alterations.

All drawings are coloured pencil on deckled paper. Each drawing has 1-2 layers of coloured pencil, sprayed with a UV Archival fixative after each layer and is placed into a white wooden float frame between 2 pieces of glass, no matting is required.
